Serena Williams to take on Lucie Safarova in French Open title clash

World number one Serena Williams will take on Czech Lucie Safarova on Saturday in the Women's Singles title clash of the French Open, the second Grand Slam of the season. While the top seeded American is eying her third French Open and 20th Grand Slam Singles title, Safarova, seeded 13th, will be looking to become the first Czech woman to lift the French Open trophy.In the semi-finals, Safarova had stunned higher placed Serbia's Ana Ivanovic, 7-5, 7-5, while Serena, despite struggling with illness, defeated Swiss Timea Bacsinszky, 4-6, 6-3, 6-0.Meanwhile, the semi-final clash between world number one Novak Djokovic and Briton Andy Murray, which was suspended due to rain yesterday, will continue today. Djokovic is leading the match, with the scoreline reading, 6-3, 6-3, 5-7, 3-3.Earlier yesterday, eighth seed Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland beat local hope Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, 6-3, 6-7, 7-6, 6-4 to book a place in the Rolland Garros final for the first time.
