Serbian President Boris Tadic and visiting Vice Chairman Xu Caihou of China's Central Military Commission agreed to promote bilateral cooperation in defense and other areas. During their meeting, Tadic said Xu that Serbia regards its relationship with China as an important pillar of its foreign policy and is willing to deepen mutual trust and expand cooperation in various realms. Calling defense and military cooperation an integral part of the Serbia-China strategic partnership, the President said that his country is ready to work with China and explore new ways to beef up collaboration in this area. Tadic also added that Serbia adheres to the one-China policy and appreciates the increasingly influential role of China in international affairs.
