Safdarjung Hospital's sports injury centre will be the referral centre for Indian athletes selected for next Olympic Games. A decision to this effect was taken recently at a meeting of all sports federations of the country held in the national capital today. Briefing media, Dr Deepak Chadhary, Director of the Centre, said around 80 athletes have been preparing for the Olympics at different venues of the country. He said the sports injury centre is fully equipped and trained for handling all sorts of sports injuries. Dr Chaudhary said the Centre will also start a dedicated OPD exclusively for sports persons.
