Trimming some of its initial gains, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange stood 80 points, or 0.4 percent in the green, at 19,428, in afternoon trade, a short while ago. Earlier in the morning, the Sensex had opened with a gain of 103 points, or 0.5 per cent, at 19,451, on the back of persistent capital inflows from foreign funds, amid strong Asian cues.In China, the Shanghai Composite index rallied from a four-year low, to surge 3 per cent. In other Asian markets, stock indices in Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia and Taiwan were up by between 0.4 percent and 0.6 percent.
