The Sensex, at the Bombay Stock Exchange, rose 80 points, or 0.4 percent, to close at 19,987 on Tuesday. The Nifty, at the National Stock Exchange gained 33 points, or 0.5 percent, to 6,057. Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore ended mixed.
