Gaining for the second straight session, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 75 points, or 0.4 per cent, to close at 17,585, amid firm global markets, today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange added 26 points, or 0.5 percent, to 5,260. Stock markets in Japan, China, Singapore and South Korea advanced between 0.5 percent and 1.5 percent.
