The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 74 points, or 0.4 percent, to 17,478, in the first trading session of the new fiscal, amid largely positive Asian markets on Monday.The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange climbed 22 points, or 0.4 percent, to 5,318.Stock markets in Japan, Singapore and South Korea gained between 0.2 percent and 0.8 percent.
