The BSE benchmark Sensex which lost 41 points in the previous session on Monday, recovered by 124 points to 16,929 in opening trade. It was trading up by 64 points at 16864 a short while ago.The National Stock Exchange Nifty index was trading up by 27 points at 5066.In Asia, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index was up 0.77 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei Index rose by 0.72 per cent in morning trade today. The US Dow Jones Industrial average ended 0.43 per cent higher in yesterday's trade.
