The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex was trading at 16104, up by 62 points in the afternoon trade when reports last came in. Similarly the wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty initially gained 22 points to quote at 4815 points. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 1.52 per cent higher in yesterday's trade.
