Sensex up by 60 points in opening trade

The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex rose by over 60 points in opening trade today. The 30-share BSE index, which gained 351.67 points in the previous two sessions, advanced further by 60.84 points, or 0.35 per cent, to 17,125.84 in the first five minutes of trade. Likewise, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty Index was also up by 16.05 points, or 0.31 per cent, at 5,140.70.
