Snapping a three-day losing streak, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose a modest 55 points, or 0.3 percent, to 18,141, on Thursday, amid a decline in food inflation. The Sensex had lost almost 450 points in the previous three trading sessions. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange gained 8 points, or 0.1 percent, to 5,428. Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea ended mixed.
