The Indian benchmark BSE-30 share index-the Sensex- firmed up by 44 points, or 0.23 per cent, to 19, 286 in late morning deals. Earlier the Sensex had recovered by nearly 106 points to around 19,348 in early trade as stocks led by IT and consumer durable sectors rallied on fresh buying by funds and retailers amid a firming trend in the Asian region.Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange index, the Nifty, moved up by over 11 points to 5,859.
