The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 37 points, or 0.2 percent, to a nearly 11-week closing high of 17,463, after volatile trade on Wednesday. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 15 points, or 0.3 percent, to 5,303.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore ended mixed.
