The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose a modest 35 points, or 0.2 per cent, to 17,992, in range-bound trading, on Thursday, amid food inflation falling to a single digit. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange gained 11 points, or 0.2 percent, to 5,409.Stock markets in Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea ended mixed.
