Recovering from early losses, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed 252 points, or 1.5 percent higher, at 16,698, amid largely positive Asian markets, on Thursday. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 70 points, or 1.4 percent, to 5,015.Stock markets in Japan, China, South Korea and Singapore mostly moved higher.
