Lifted by rising global markets, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange surged 202 points, or 1.2 percent, to close above the 17,000 mark after nearly a month, at 17, 065, amid across-the-board buying interest on Wednesday.The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange climbed 60 points, or 1.2 percent, to 5,125.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea rallied between 1.7 percent and 3.8 percent.
