Snapping four days of losses, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed a marginal 2 points higher, at 17,105, after volatile trade, today. The Sensex had lost 515 points in the previous four trading sessions. But the Nifty at the National Stock Exchange declined 4 points, to 5,193. Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore climbed between 0.2 percent and 1.8 percent, on hopes of further monetary easing by the US central bank.
