The benchmark BSE Sensex gained 19 points to 34,076 in late morning trade today after remaining subdued. The broad-based NSE Nifty was up by 2 points to 10,532 a short while ago. At the forex market, rupee gained sixteen paise to trade at 63.71 against the US dollar on the first trading day of 2018.
