The BSE Sensex ended with mild gains today, reversing a two-day losing streak, on value buying in beaten down rate-sensitive shares. Capital goods, auto, power and consumer durables stocks gained the most, while metal, PSU, TECk and IT stocks lost investors' support. The S&P BSE Sensex closed at 19920.21, up 19.25 points. It touched a high of 20,050.42 and a low of 19,782.78 in trade today. The 50-share index Nifty ended at 5892.45, up 2.70 points. It touched a high of 5,938.40 and a low of 5,854.55 in trade today. The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up by 0.08 per cent and the S&P BSE Smallcap Index slipped 0.02 per cent.
