The BSE benchmark Sensex which opened 77 points high in morning trade, moved up further by 141 points, trading at 18,280 points a short while ago. The broad-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index was also trading in green, at 5472 points, up by 43 points. Meanwhile, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index was trading 0.24 per cent higher, while Japan's Nikkei edged higher by 0.29 per cent in morning trade. The US Dow Jones Industrial average had ended 0.36 per cent higher in the previous session.

Sensex up by 141 points in afternoon trade
