The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex on Monday gained nearly 44 points in early trade on buying by funds and retail investors. The sensex was trading at 18,251, up by 107points when reports last came in. Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange's Nifty also moved up by 34 points to 5473.
