Recovering from early losses, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange stood 92 points, or 0.5 percent in positive territory, at 17,573, in afternoon trade, a short while ago. At one stage, the Sensex had gained more than 100 points. Earlier in the Wednesday morning, however, the Sensex had opened 92 points, or 0.5 per cent in the red, at 17,389, on continued selling by investors, on renewed worries about the European debt crisis. Other Asian markets in China, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan were trading mixed, today. But the US Dow Jones Industrial Average had slumped as much as 2.5 per cent, overnight.
