The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange was up 63 points, or 0.3 percent, at 18,826 in afternoon deals, a short while ago. Earlier in the morning, the Sensex had opened with a gain of 53 points, or 0.3 per cent, at 18,815, on continued buying by funds and retail investors, on expectations of further economic reforms by the government.But key Asian markets in Japan, Indonesia, Singapore and Taiwan were down by between 0.5 percent and 1.2 percent, today, after Japan's largest manufacturers became more pessimistic, and China's manufacturing shrank for second month.
