The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained 71 points, or 0.5 per cent to 15,954 in early trade, today, on selective buying by funds and retail investors.Later, the Sensex remained firm, and stood 48 points, or 0.3 percent in the positive zone, at 15,930 in afternoon deals, a short while ago.Other Asian markets in China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan were up by between 0.1 percent and 0.6 percent, today, on expectations that China's central bank will cut the reserve ratio, later this month.Across on Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial Average had ended 0.2 per cent higher, overnight.
