Sensex snapped its eight-day losing streak and recovered 42 points to 19,206 in early trade. This follows fresh buying by funds amid a mixed trend in other Asian markets. The 30-share index, which had lost over 1,139 points in the previous sessions, recovered with stocks of consumer durables, auto and IT sector firms leading the recovery.Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty rose by 10 points to 5,688.In other Asian markets, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index was up by 0.16 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei was down by 1.02 per cent in early trade.
