The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange surged 285 points, or 1.5 percent, to regain the 19,000-level after two weeks, and close at 19,016, today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 94 points, or 1.7 percent, to 5,783.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore again ended mixed.
