Rising for the second straight session, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange jumped 182 points, or 1 percent, to 17,834, lifted by a surge in telecom stocks, and amid firm Asian markets, today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 56 points, or 1.1 percent, to 5,352.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, and Singapore rallied between 0.5 percent and 2.3 percent after encouraging US economic data.
