The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained 148 points, or 0.8 per cent, to 18,884 in opening trade, this morning, on fresh buying by funds at existing lower levels, amid rising Asian markets. Later, the Sensex remained largely steady and stood 120 points, or 0.6 per cent in the green, at 18,856 in afternoon trade, a short while ago. The Sensex had had lost over 835 points in the last six trading sessions.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea had gained between 0.2 percent and 1.7 percent, today, after Cyprus clinched a deal with international lenders for a 10 billion euro bailout.
