Sensex up 114 pts at 16,097

The BSE benchmark Sensex, which snapped its eight-session long losing streak, by gaining 151 points in opening trade today, stood 114 points up at 16,060 in late morning deals. After losing nearly 1,625 points in the past eight sessions, the 30-share BSE index rebounded by 151 points, or 0.94 per cent, to 16,097 in opening trade, with realty, metals, capital goods and auto stocks leading the recovery.In a similar fashion, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index was trading 35 points in the green at 4,813.
