Snapping an eight-session losing streak, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained 100 points, or 0.5 percent, to close at 19,561, today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 25 points, or 0.4 percent, to 5,923.Most regional bourses were shut, but the Japanese stock market jumped 1.9 percent, while that in South Korea fell 0.3 percent.
