The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange, which opened nearly 200 points in the green today, lost some ground in the afternoon deals and was trading 53 points in the positive territory at 17,246 when reports last came in.After losing almost 377 points in the previous two sessions, the 30-share index recovered by 199 points in opening trade today.The gain is on the back of IT and financial stocks which rose on fresh buying by funds and retail investors, amid a firming trend in global markets.In a similar fashion, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index was trading 19 points in the green at 5,188 points, a short while ago.In Asia, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index was up 2.48 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei Index rose by 1.21 per cent in morning trade.In the US, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 2.19 per cent higher in Friday's trade.
