The BSE benchmark Sensex which recovered by 124 points to 16,929 in opening trade was trading up by 141 points at 16946 a short while ago. It had lost 41 points in the previous session on Monday. The National Stock Exchange Nifty index was trading up by 45 points at 5084.In Asia, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index was up 0.77 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei Index rose by 0.72 per cent in morning trade today. The US Dow Jones Industrial average ended 0.43 per cent higher in yesterday's trade.
