The BSE benchmark Sensex which opened 140 points in early trade today is trading on 155 points up to 17,636 a short while ago. The wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty also moved up by 47 points to 5,365.40. In Asia, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose by 0.57 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei index was up by 0.41 per cent.
