Maintaining the upward trend the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange was trading 143 points up at 16,849 in late afternoon deals. The 30-share barometer, which had lost 244 points in yesterday's trade, recovered by 89 points to 16,794 points in early morning deals with capital goods, auto and metal sector stocks leading the recovery.The wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty also moved up by 34 points to 5,099
