The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark index Sensex trading in green in the afternoon trade. Sensex was trading at 16976, up by over 190 points when reports last came in. In the opening trade it lost over 100 points Similarly Nifty of National Stocks exchange which gained over 47 points in morning trade was trading flat at 1400 hrs at 5035. The Hong Kong's Hang Seng index and Japan's Nikkei were down by almost one per cent in early trade today. The US Dow Jones Industrial Averaged ended 0.90 per cent down in yesterday's trade.
