Sensex trading in green

The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 58 points, or 0.3 per cent, to 16,921 in opening trade on Monday, on renewed buying by investors. After surrendering some of its initial gains, the Sensex stood 33 points, or 0.2 percent in the green, at 16,896, in choppy deals, a short while ago. Other Asian bourses in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia and Taiwan were by up between 0.1 percent and 2.5 percent.
