Trimming its initial gains, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange declined 1 point at 21,168 points a short while ago. Earlier, it opened on a positive note on the first trading day of 2014 and gained 53 points on increased buying by funds and retail investors.The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange was also lost 1 points at 6,304.
