The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 62 points, or 0.3 per cent, to 19,804 in opening trade, this morning, on sustained buying by funds, amid positive Asian bourses. But later, in afternoon trade, the Sensex gave up almost all of its initial gains, to stand just 2 points in the green, at 19,744 a short while ago.Other Asian markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan were up by between 0.1 percent and 0.9 percent, today. But the US Dow Jones Industrial Averge had fallen 0.4 percent, yesterday.
