Recovering from initial losses, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange stood 10 points in positive territory, at 20,157 in afternoon trade, amid volatility, a short while ago. Earlier in the morning, the Sensex had opened with a loss of 82 points, or 0.4 per cent, at 20,066, on sustained selling by foreign funds, amid weak global bourses.Stock markets in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Indonesia had lost between 0.3 percent and 1.4 percent, today, as investors mulled the implications of a possible rollback of the US central bank's massive monetary stimulus programme. Japan's Nikkei 225 index had tumbled 3.3 percent. Over on Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial Average had ended 0.7 per cent lower in yesterday's trade.
