Continuing its upward march, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock exchange made a slight climbs of 8.75 points, to trade at 17,781 in afternoon deals.Earlier, the volatile 30-share index fell by nearly 23 points in early trade largely in tandem with weak trend on other Asian bourses.Pertaining a similar fashion, the wide-based Nifty of the National Stock Exchange gains nearly 6.70 points to reach at 5,396.90 points.In the Asian region, the Hong Kong's Hang Seng index shed 0.03 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei was quoted 0.15 per cent higher in early trade on Tuesday.
