Rising for the fifth straight session, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained 145 points, or 0.5 percent, to an 8-month closing high of 27,145 on Friday. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange climbed 41 points, to an over ten-month closing high of 8,328.
