The BSE benchmark Sensex today was up by nearly 98 points and trading at 16, 552 during the noon trading. Earlier, the 30-share sensex was by over 165 points in morning trade, extending gains for the fourth straight session, on continued buying by funds and retailers. Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index was up by nearly 15 points at 5,011.
