Recovering smartly from initial losses, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock exchange gained 82 points, or 0.5 percent, to 16,153, on value-buying in fundamentally strong stocks, today. The Nifty added 21 points, or 0.4 percent, to 4,891.But stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore posted significant losses of between 1.3 percent and 3.4 percent.
