The BSE Sensex surged by 616 points to 29,562 in early trade today on BJP's massive win in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Assembly elections. The NSE Nifty hit a new high at 9,123 in opening trade. Rupee strengthened by a whopping 42 paise to 66.18 against US dollar in opening trade.
