Recovering from early losses, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange stood 40 points, or 0.2 per cent in positive territory, at 17,277 in afternoon trade, a short while ago. Earlier in the morning, however, the Sensex had declined 36 points, or 0.2 per cent, to 17,200, on profit-booking by investors, amid mixed Asian bourses. The 30-share Sensex had gained almost 600 points in the last three trading sessions.Key stock indices in Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong were trading mixed, today. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average had ended 0.5 per cent lower in yesterday's trade.
