The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange, surged 354 points to hit an eight week high at 17,345, when reports last came in.The rise came amid the sustained buying by funds and retailers on hopes that the government will announce economic reforms to revive the economy. The 30-share barometer, had gained a hefty 269 points in early trade today.In a Similar fashion, the Nifty at the National Stock Exchange also shot up by 106 points to 5,255.
