At the stock markets, rising for the third straight day, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 204 points, or 0.6 per cent, to close at 35,717, on Wednesday.

The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange added 43 points, or 0.4 per cent, to 10,729.
