Posting its second straight day of gains, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange surged 202 points, or 1.3 per cent, to 16,429, amid firm global markets, today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange jumped 58 points, or 1.2 per cent, to 4,914. Stock markets in Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, and Singapore rose between 1.5 per cent and 2.5 per cent.
