Extending its winning streak for the third straight session, the Sensex surged 197 points to 16,863, amid firm global markets, today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 63 points, or 1.3 percent, to 5,066.Other Asian bourses in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and SouthKorea rose between 1 percent and 1.7 percent.
