Rising for the third straight session, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange surged 194 points, or 1 percent, to close at an over one-week high of 18,755, amid firm Asian markets, today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange jumped 53 points, or 0.9 percent, to 5,698.Key stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore gained between 0.6 percent and 1.2 percent, after upbeat US economic data.
